It was the morning of the Genius Forum day and I was prepared. I had the speech memorized and all the points I wanted to get to planned out completely. After completing my presentation, I was applauded graciously and like everyone else, I answered the audience's most burning questions. In the event, I delivered my pitch to the senior class and the sophomore class and received their feedback. The forum not only provided me with more experience in presentations, it also gave me more insight on how I should shape the future of this project. The adults gave me much feedback on my errors and exemplary work and suggested future pathways that I could take. The take away from the genius forum is that I have learned more about how to public speak more effectively and what it is like to present an idea to a crowd with no previous knowledge of what my project entails.
